Cookie Policy
Last updated: 8 August 2026
This policy explains how MICROMAX MACHINERY GROUP IRELAND LTD uses cookies and browser storage on micromax-group.co.uk, including its customer support portal. Cookies are small files stored by a browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature used to remember information on a device.
1. Essential technologies
Essential cookies support security, authentication and your privacy choices. They do not require consent because the requested service cannot operate properly without them.
- micromax_customer_session — signed, HTTP-only authentication cookie for customer portal users; expires after up to 14 days.
- micromax_admin_session — signed, HTTP-only authentication cookie for authorised Micromax staff; expires after up to 30 days.
- micromax_cookie_consent (cookie) — records that a visitor has made a cookie choice so the banner is not repeatedly displayed; expires after up to 12 months.
- micromax_cookie_consent (local storage) — stores the visitor's analytics, marketing and functionality choices on that device until changed or browser storage is cleared.
Session cookies are removed when you sign out where the Platform provides a sign-out control, or when they expire.
2. Analytics
If Google Analytics is enabled and you consent to analytics, Google may set cookies such as _ga and a property-specific _ga_*cookie. They help us measure visits, pages viewed, referrals, approximate location, device category and general interaction patterns. Google's standard expiry can be up to two years, although duration may vary with configuration and browser controls.
Analytics storage is denied by default through Google Consent Mode until you choose to allow it. Google may receive consent-state and limited technical signals when its tag is enabled; see Google's Privacy Policy.
3. Functionality and marketing choices
The preference panel includes functionality and marketing categories so optional features or advertising integrations can respect your choice if enabled. At the date of this policy, the codebase does not identify a separate third-party functionality cookie, advertising pixel or remarketing cookie in active use. We will update this policy if that changes. Selecting a category does not itself mean every technology in that category is used.
4. Consent records
When you save a choice, we store the three category selections and the time of the decision in our database to demonstrate and monitor consent. This event does not itself contain your name, email address or portal account identifier.
5. Managing your choices
You can accept all optional categories, reject non-essential categories, or choose categories in the banner. You can withdraw consent by clearing the micromax_cookie_consentcookie and local storage in your browser, then revisiting the site to make a new choice. You can also block or delete cookies through browser settings. Blocking essential session cookies will prevent portal or staff sign-in from working.
6. More information
See our Privacy Policy for how we use personal data, including information about recipients, international transfers and your rights. We may update this policy when technologies or legal requirements change.
